In appreciation of our LEC-300 customers' continued loyalty and support, we are pleased to provide a substantial upgrade free of charge. It's our way of showing customers our gratitude and our commitment to partnering with business everywhere to deliver the ultimate in quality, value and performance.
Our free LEC-300 Value-Up Service enables current LEC-300 customers to increase productivity by (1) dramatically reducing white waste ink and (2) being able to run the LEC-300 unattended. These benefits were realized thanks to the requests from our LEC-300 users. The upgrade kit includes a firmware updater and the latest Roland VersaWorks software. The kit can be downloaded to your computer from our web site.

Changes on the LEC-300

Automatic maintenance procedures for white ink
[Ink Renewal Normal] and [Ink Renewal Full] will be changed as follows.

Results of this Upgrade
1. LEC-300 users who print in white ink everyday:
 

[Ink Renewal Normal] and [Ink Renewal Full] will not be performed automatically. Instead, the new automatic cleaning cycle will be carried out. With this change, white ink waste will be reduced by a minimum of 45%. *1 *2 (Test conducted by Roland DG)

 
2. LEC-300 users who don’t print with white ink:
 

[Ink Renewal Normal], [Ink Renewal Full] and the new automatic cleaning cycle will not be performed. Therefore, white ink waste is eliminated. *1 *2 (Test conducted by Roland DG)

 
3. Able to print successive jobs unattended with no pauses by the ink renewal message

Effects of the white ink reduction depend on the frequency and conditions of using the LEC-300. Please ensure that no problems (nozzle clogging) occur when printing with white ink by test printing white ink periodically as well as other color inks.

You can download your free LEC-300 upgrade kit including the firmware updater and free RIP software, Roland VersaWorks on the following button. Please ensure to upgrade both the LEC-300 firmware 3.0 or later and Roland VersaWorks 3.3 or later as one will not work without the other.
