London, July 8, 2013 Roland DG's new generation of eco-solvent ink, ECO-SOL MAX2 has won the European Digital Press (EDP) Award in the Best New Generation Solvent Ink Technology category at the EDP Association's ceremony held at FESPA 2013.

ECO-SOL MAX2 is the latest generation of Roland DG's award-winning eco-solvent ink series. It is available in CMYKLcLm, light black, white, and metallic silver and has been designed to deliver maximum performance in terms of outdoor durability, scratch resistance, image sharpness, chemical resistance, and color gamut. ECO-SOL MAX2 is compatible with an extensive range of print media in the market and is also nickel free.

The EDP judges selected ECO-SOL MAX2 as the winner because of its ease of use, the reduction of harmful substances in its formulation, and the outstanding printing results it can achieve. "This is just what the users want," the judging panel stated in its evaluation.

ECO-SOL MAX2 is available on Roland's newest production printer, the SOLJET PRO4 XF-640, a super-fast printer that is ideal for the production of CMYK, quality prints at high speeds. The SOLJET PRO4 XR-640, Roland's widest and most versatile printer/cutter to date, also uses ECO-SOL MAX2. The unit is available in four configurations with up to eight colors, including white, metallic, and light black.
