Roland DG Voted Most Recognized Brand, Receives Silk & Sign Award in the Digital Printer Category at Serigrafia Sign 2013

Sao Paulo, September 11, 2013 Roland DG Corporation (TOKYO: 6789), the world's leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D devices, announced today that the Company has received the Silk & Sign Award for the most recognized brand in the Digital Printers category at the Serigrafia Sign Future TEXTIL 2013 exhibition held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from July 10-13, 2013. Roland DG was chosen as the best in its sector through a survey of professionals conducted by the event organizer.

Serigrafia Sign Future TEXTIL is Latin America's largest trade show for machines, equipment, products and services for screen, textile and digital printing, communications graphics, signs and promotional material. The 2013 event attracted over 600 exhibitors and more than 45,000 visitors. The Silk & Sign Award was created through a partnership between Serigrafia SIGN FutureTEXTIL and Sign and Silk Magazine.

Along with actively marketing its brand and products through workshops and a newly opened Creative Center, Roland DG Brasil also works closely with institutions such as Brazil's Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (National Service for Industrial Training). It is quickly moving toward its goal of offering its customer base a complete package of digital printing solutions.

Roland DG Brasil was formed as a marketing, distribution and sales arm of Roland DG Corporation and opened its new sales office and Creative Center in Sao Paulo in March 2013. Brazil is also set to experience a sharp rise in infrastructure spending when it hosts the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016 leading to a surge in demand in markets such as sign and displays and customized sports apparel.
