Roland DG Introduces Two VersaSTUDIO Printers to Expand the Capabilities of Its Compact Print/Cut and Direct-to-Object Devices
New Models Increase Creativity and Profitability for Users

Hamamatsu, Japan, June 5, 2025 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters worldwide, is excited to announce the addition of two new printers to its VersaSTUDIO series of compact, easy-to-use and affordable products. The BN2-30 eco-solvent integrated printer/cutter with a maximum material width of 736 mm (30-inches), and the BD-12 UV direct-to-object printer for items up to A4 size both feature vibrant, detailed printing, plus work areas expanded over current models, enabling increased productivity and profitability.

The BN2-30 offers outstanding print quality plus precision contour cutting, for the creation of graphics, photos, and text in any desired shape. With a maximum printing width of 736 mm (30-inches), the printer is compact enough to be operated in a limited space, yet combines excellent quality and productivity to quickly produce a wide variety of items, from original T-shirt graphic transfers, stickers and labels, to posters and uniquely-shaped displays.

The BD-12 UV flatbed printer is capable of high-definition direct printing on a variety of objects and materials. It supports items up to A4 size and 102 mm (4-inches) in height. The machine can also print on cylindrical objects such as bottles and lipsticks using the optional rotary axis. The EUV5 ink is compatible with numerous materials, from soft goods like fabric and leather to hard goods like wood and plastics. Glass and metal can also be printed on by using the primer ink. Additionally, a clear ink option produces premium gloss or matte finishes and realistic textures including 3D embossed effects. This versatile printer makes it easy to produce high-value customized items like smartphone cases, giftware, sports memorabilia, fashion accessories and cosmetic products with stunning color and fine details.

Both the BN2-30 and BD-12 are equipped with print heads that produce high-definition output and offer multiple print modes ideal for different applications, making it easy for anyone to achieve professional print results. These devices are also designed for excellent usability and simple operation. With only a power button on the printer, all other functions are easily performed with the included Utility software through easy-to-understand icons and intuitive, quick access to menu items. The printers come standard with FlexiDESIGNER VersaSTUDIO Edition software, which can be used for everything from design creation to printing, as well as VersaWorks 7, the latest output software with improved usability and support for both Windows and macOS. Even those who have never used design and output software before can now easily create the items they desire.

Roland DG Connect, a comprehensive connected platform that provides tools such as visualization of operating status and easy profit calculation, is also available. It includes proactive support to help prevent errors and contributes to an efficient and profitable business.

With a complete range of productivity features and software included, the BN2-30 and BD-12 are priced to be affordable for first-time users. A comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty and optional maintenance contract are also provided.
