Roland DG Connect Designer Software Now Includes DIMENSE Module for Creating Designs to Produce on New DA-640 Printer

Hamamatsu, Japan, June 26, 2025 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters worldwide, has announced the DIMENSE Module which extends the functionality of our new Roland DG Connect Designer, announced on June 20, 2025.

Ryugo Nimura, President of Roland DG’s Global Sales and Marketing Division, said, “This new-generation software was developed based on the concept of making it easier, more efficient, and simpler for all users with different objectives, skills, and experience levels to use our inkjet printers. It combines easy-to-use design creation for novice users who may be unfamiliar with professional-level applications, as well as generating automated print settings and printing without using RIP software.”

Roland DG Connect Designer now allows for the unique functions of various printers to be incorporated into the design by utilizing modules specific for each device. Users can choose to add the desired design features made possible by their printer and work requirements, and install only the functions they require, for a simpler and more cost-effective operation. Initially, for users of the new DA-640 dimensional surface printer, a DIMENSE module offers preset embossing effects, file preparation and visualization for creating textured output on the DA-640.
