Renault Sport Formula One™ Team unveiled the new livery for its racing car in February: a slick black and yellow design with graphics printed with Roland DG equipment. In a recent interview, a team spokesperson provided more information about this ongoing collaboration.

A new approach to learning called STEAM education is growing in popularity throughout China and Roland DG’s sales and marketing subsidiary in China, Roland DG China (DGC), is playing a key role in its implementation. To find out more about this initiative, we talked with Cheng Qi, marketing manager at DGC.

Roland DG held a fabrication workshop for educators and Fab Lab managers on September 9 and 16 at the Roland DG Creative Center located in the Tokyo Sales Office. The workshop was based on the concept of providing a fun approach to learning about electronics manufacturing, and was organized with the cooperation of Sony Corporation MESH project and Fab Lab Hiratsuka located on the Kanagawa University Faculty of Business Administration campus.

From July 31 to August 6, 2017, more than 1,000 Fab Labs around the world gathered in Santiago, Chile for FAB13, the 13th annual meeting of the global Fab Lab community.

Roland DG participates in a wide range of activities and events aimed at expanding the potential of digital fabrication in countries around the world. One of the most recent events was FAB12, the 12th annual meeting of the Fab Lab community, held in Shenzhen, China in August this year.

Art Center College of Design, a private college in Pasadena, California renowned for its transportation design program, among other disciplines, has purchased three additional advanced Roland DG MDX series milling machines for use by its students. The college now owns a total of five cutting-edge Roland DG rapid prototyping devices — including four MDX-40A mills and one MDX-540 mill — which play an integral role within the institution's Product Design program.
