The “Live Like A Cat: NFT Art Exhibition” (organized by Shizuoka Shimbun, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, and Murakami Kaizoku Co., Ltd.), which Roland DG sponsored, was held from July 8 to July 17, 2023 at the co-working space “=ODEN (Equal Oden)” in Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City.

Roland DG is sponsoring and supporting the Student Formula team from Shizuoka University. We recently invited the team members to our Hamamatsu headquarters where they had the opportunity to experience digital printing, including creating this season’s team uniforms by using our company’s products.

Roland DG’s manufacturing subsidiary, Roland Digital Group (Thailand), completed the construction of a new building within its premises which commenced operations on April 3. To mark this occasion, a commemorative ceremony was held during the day at the factory in Samut Sakhon province on May 19 and in the evening in Bangkok city.

Roland DG is currently constructing a new headquarters building in Shinmiyakoda, Hamamatsu, in Shizuoka Prefecture to relocate and consolidate its current headquarters into the Miyakoda Plant. On April 27, our executives visited the construction site of the new building.

During the training period in April, the new employees of 2023 learned about the company’s structure and business on a daily basis. In this blog post, we would like to introduce the practical training on our Digital Printing and DGSHAPE businesses.

Roland DG participated in the “Council for Acrylic Goods Recycling Project” established to promote the reuse of acrylic resin products. The council held its first recycling awareness event on March 30, 2023.

Roland DG held its orientation ceremony on April 3, 2023, to welcome 12 new employees to the company.

Roland DG has released a video that conveys our vision for customer services and support. We interviewed the creators and a service engineer who were involved in the video production to ask them about their thoughts and behind-the-scenes stories of making the video.

Following participation in last year’s inaugural program, Roland DG employees joined the Hamamatsu Innovation Challenge 2022, a program organized by local Hamamatsu companies aimed at developing new business ideas, and won the Excellence Award.

Shizuoka University’s Hamamatsu Campus (Engineering and Informatics faculties) hosts the Shizuoka University Techno Festa every year as a way of showcasing the latest developments in technology and research to the local community. This year, Roland DG helped out with the fabrication workshop run by the Faculty of Informatics.

An opening ceremony was held on November 9, 2022 at Roland DG’s new joint venture, a binder-jet 3D printer business located in Jingdezhen city in Jiangxi province of China, one of the world’s leading ceramic and pottery production areas.
