Roland DG held its first ever One-Day Internships on February 7 and 14, 2018, with a total of 16 interns participating at the company's headquarters in Hamamatsu, Japan. The intern program was organized with the aim of providing students with real-life insights into employment situations and a chance to experience a working environment that may help them develop their career paths.

Roland DG conducted a 6-week internship program for international students from June 19 to July 28, 2017.

Roland DG’s Service Engineers (also called "SEs") strive to improve their ability to provide high-quality, standardized maintenance and repair services in order to ensure that customers from all over the world can use Roland DG products with peace of mind. “Knowledge Workers” are tasked with sharing their service knowledge to assist other SEs in improving their skills and knowledge.

An initiation ceremony was held on April 3, welcoming 12 new employees for FY2017. During the ceremony, President Fujioka offered his greetings and advice to the new employees who will shape the future of Roland DG. “Anything and everything you do is important,” he said. “Maintaining a positive attitude with every task you take on is important if you want to become a professional. I want you to make the most of each of your individual skillsets.”

The Orange County Register has once again named Roland DGA Corporation, Roland DG’s U.S.-based marketing, distribution and sales arm, one of Orange County’s “Top Workplaces.” This marks the seventh time that Orange County’s largest newspaper has recognized Roland DGA as a top workplace within the region.

Today we’d like to take you on a tour of “Discovery House” that was opened in Nairobi, Kenya, earlier this year. Discovery House has been set up as a demo center, where visitors can get a feel for the potential of Roland’s products. There’s some 20 different models available to try with, including wide-format inkjet printers, as well as vinyl cutters, 3D milling machines, 3D printers and engraving machines. Until now, the only way customers in Kenya and other east African countries could get detailed information on products was to check brochures and the website. Now they can actually use the demo models and get a feel for the printed samples available at Discovery House, as well as get more advice from sales staff to help them decide which model might best suit their requirements. Discovery House is located close to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the regional airport in east Africa, which makes it ideal for customers on business from neighboring countries like Tanzania and Uganda to drop by and take a look.
