Roland Enters Grand Format Market SJ-1000

SOLJET SJ-1000

Hamamatsu, Japan, April 15, 2004 – Roland DG Corporation today entered the grand format market with SJ-1000 — its widest and fastest inkjet ever. The new 2600mm (102-inch) printer produces billboards, banners and vehicle graphics up to 45m2/h (484 sqft) per hour.

The SJ-1000 feeds media with precision for lengthy, unattended printing. A heavy-duty media handling system uses idler bars to maintain proper tension and precise media tracking, even during long continuous print jobs. It supports rolls weighing up to 100kg (220lbs) and offers front access for convenient loading and unloading.

Loaded with ECO-SOL INK, the SJ-1000 prints with brilliant color at high resolutions without any need for special ventilation or environmental equipment. The ECO-SOL INK works in conjunction with an integrated media heating system to bond aggressively with both coated and uncoated materials. It is safe to use and virtually odor free.

‐ 2600mm (102-inch) wide prints
