Roland DG Corporation (President, Representative Director: Kohei Tanabe, Headquarters: Hamamatsu, Japan), a global manufacturer and distributor of advertising and signage inkjet printers and 3D digital fabrication tools, is pleased to announce that DGSHAPE Corporation (“DGSHAPE”), a company dedicated to advancing the digitalization of dental prosthesis production, is accelerating the development of its jetted-type 3D printer for dentures. This product was exhibited for reference only at IDS 2025, one of the world’s largest dental trade shows held in Cologne, Germany, in March 2025, where the company received highly positive feedback on it along with valuable insights from attendees.

Reflecting the feedback received at IDS, DGSHAPE is currently advancing design improvements for the device, including enhancements in material strength, aesthetics, and printing efficiency. By leveraging jetted technology capable of simultaneous multi-color and multi-material output, the system enables the fabrication of monolithic dentures that integrate the denture base and artificial teeth. This capability contributes to improved productivity and consistent quality for dental laboratories.

This project is a joint development effort that brings together the high-precision inkjet technologies cultivated by Roland DG Corporation, the trusted expertise of GC Corporation in dental material development, and the advanced 3D milling technologies DGSHAPE has built within the dental prosthetics field. By combining these strengths, we aim to create new value for the dental industry and deliver products with enhanced reliability and clinical applicability.
In addition, in many developed countries, the number of dental technicians is declining as the workforce ages, while demand for dentures is increasing due to the rise of super-aging societies. To address these challenges, DGSHAPE will continue to drive greater efficiency and improved quality in the dental industry through digitalization.

DGSHAPE is preparing for regulatory compliance and clinical evaluations as it moves its newest device toward market launch in 2027. At the same time, DGSHAPE remains committed to developing innovative products that support the sustainable growth of the dental industry.
