Shizuoka University’s Hamamatsu Campus (Engineering and Informatics faculties) hosts the Shizuoka University Techno Festa every year as a way of showcasing the latest developments in technology and research to the local community. This year, Roland DG helped out with the fabrication workshop run by the Faculty of Informatics.

An opening ceremony was held on November 9, 2022 at Roland DG’s new joint venture, a binder-jet 3D printer business located in Jingdezhen city in Jiangxi province of China, one of the world’s leading ceramic and pottery production areas.

Roland DG held an internship program from August to November 2022, geared for students majoring in science.

Formula SAE Japan (FSAEJ) is an all-inclusive monozukuri competition where students play the main role in planning, designing and constructing their very own formula-style racing car. Roland DG is sponsoring teams from The University of Tokyo and Shizuoka University by assisting with the production of racing car stickers and team uniforms.

Roland DG’s manufacturing subsidiary Roland Digital Group (Thailand) celebrated its tenth anniversary by holding a local ceremony on September 21, 2022.

Roland DG headquarters in Shinmiyakoda, Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture will be relocated and consolidated to the Miyakoda Plant, where a new building is now under construction for scheduled completion in July 2023.

The refreshment space at the Faculty of Informatics at the Hamamatsu Campus of Shizuoka University has been officially named the “Roland DG Lounge,” a venue where students can catch up with others, work on their skills and explore their creativity.

Roland DG’s manufacturing subsidiary Roland Digital Group (Thailand) recently held a company-wide event to boost team bonding.

At a ceremony held on April 28, 2022 just before the start of the Golden Week holiday period, new Roland DG employees gave presentations on the results of their training and were assigned to their new positions.

The Tokyo Creative Center is the largest Roland DG demonstration center in Japan and is located at its Tokyo-based sales office. It was recently refurbished and relocated to Shinagawa where it re-opened its doors to visitors on February 28, 2022.

Roland DG held its orientation ceremony for eleven new employees at its Hamamatsu headquarters on April 1, 2022.

Roland DG employees recently took part in a program organized by local Hamamatsu companies aimed at developing new business ideas by interacting with like-minded people within each individual company.
